The JS Inflator is a powerful harmonics processor (based on the Oxford Inflator), but it has a few minor issues that make using it a little difficult...

❌ No linked input and output
❌ No level compensated Curve knob

❌ No level compensated Effect (mix) knob

❌ No true plugin bypass

JS Inflator Companion solves this by adding the following new features:

✅ A headroom knob (level-compensates the input slider)

✅ Semi-compensated Curve knob (+50% adds +0.2dB, -50% subtracts -1.1dB. Previously, +50% added +2.5dB, -50% subtracted -3.5dB)

✅ True plugin bypass

✅ A level-compensated mix knob

✅ Ability to finely adjust all plugin parameters using the arrow keys

✅ Includes custom startup presets that measure perfectly flat

System Compatibility:

• MacOS 12 Monterey and above (Intel & Apple Silicon)
• Windows 10 (64-bit) and above

Host Compatibility:

• Any DAW running Blue Cat's PatchWork v2.75 or later

Plugin Requirements (AU or VST3):

• JS Inflator

How do I use the JS Inflator Companion?

You can either use JS Inflator exactly as you've been using it, or via Patchwork's macros - each mapped to all the same parameters, but with some added benefits as listed above.

💡 Note: JS Inflator's Effect/mix knob should always stay at 100%. Patchwork handles this function via its built-in mix knob - which is properly level-compensated.

I recommend sticking with Patchwork's controls, and with JS Inflator visible - which is how these presets load up by default. (If you ever want to hide JS Inflator or re-position it upon loading a preset, you can do so, and then save/overwrite the Patchwork preset).
