USING THE AUTOGAIN SWITCHES

The “AG Comp” switch in Patchwork enables & disables ABLM2's auto-gain compensation. AB Loudness Match 2 is constantly measuring and compensating for loudness changes (every 400ms using the “EBU R128-2014 ML” measurement).
The “AG Lock” switch pauses/locks in this dynamic measurement ensuring the resulting output volume no longer changes, and more importantly, ensures exact plugin recall on session re-open.
⚠️ Failure to engage the “AG Lock” switch once done dialing in your sound can result in loud volume bursts when activating/deactivating Patchwork, or upon re-opening a session - so don’t forget to lock up!
The “AG Delta” switch (where applicable) monitors the difference before and after the plugin/chain.
💡 In order for Delta to be work properly, plugin latency of the sandwiched plugins need to be set in ABLM2, which is already done by default in all Companion presets. Keep in mind that if chaning Patchwork's oversampling amount, plugin latenecy may change, in which case, you can just click the circle under "PDC" to automatically set plugin latency, or you can manually type it in.

ENSURING UNIQUE LINK ID'S
IMPORTANT: If using more than one instance of ABLM2 in a session, each sender and receiver pair need to have unique “Link IDs”.
![]()
For example, if duplicating a track that contains an ABLM2 sender and receiver pair, you would first:
1. Open the ABLM2 Sender plugin
2. Click the arrow on the right of the “Link ID” text (this automatically assigns it an unused ID)
3. Open the ABLM2 Receiver plugin
4. Click the arrow on the right of the “Link ID” text (this automatically links it to the Sender's new ID)
Both pairs should now be using the same new Link ID.
⚠️ Failure to assign unique Link IDs when using multiple instances of ABLM2 will result in inaccurate loudness matching and can cause sporadic volume changes if anything within the plugin chains are different.
This is pretty much all you need to know with our Companion presets that use ABLM2, but if you want to look over its manual for more in-depth use, it can be found here.
